Our Background
Growing with Pukekohe since 2008
The Playhouse Pre-Schools are privately owned and proudly serve the Pukekohe community from two dedicated centres:
Our first centre is a purpose-built facility, which opened in November 2008.
The second site is a beautifully renovated former restaurant, opened in July 2013.
Both centres are located in the Newsham Park subdivision at 41 and 51 Twomey Drive, Pukekohe.
Our environments are thoughtfully designed: open-plan, spacious, and welcoming. We maximise every area to create a nurturing, flexible, and stimulating setting for children, families, and our educators.
One of the features many parents appreciate is that both centres allow for a diversity of ages in attendance. This flexibility means siblings can often attend the same centre, making it easier for families.

All kaiako (teachers) recognise that parents/whānau are primary to the mana atua (well-being) of our tamariki, therefore we aim to establish and maintain positive, collaborative whakawhanaungatanga (relationships), ensuring that we work together in the best interest of our tamariki, maintaining the vital link between kainga (home) and the centre.
Through hononga (partnership) with family/whānau we strive to provide the highest quality education and care for our children in an environment where tamariki can grow and learn at their own pace.

I recently moved to Pukekohe and sent my child to a few Kindy’s before this one…we all know the struggle of trying to find a great kindy. This is by far is the best kindy my child has ever been to, the teachers are actually caring, help you in the mornings, thoughtful, always changing activities for the children each day, the place is super clean and hygienic, and the manager is top notch. Deserves more than 5 stars, there’s ALOT of average kindys around, this is a beautiful place to send your child. Over the moon I found this place!
